I used a clip in the unionizing episode to show a class I taught about intrusive technology. My favorite episode was the river trip--as if a short story viewed as it unfolded. The co-creator Mike White has an interesting background--dad a minister in Pasadena who later came out. MW himself based premise on his own New Age rehab and his friendship with, gulp, Shirley MacLaine. (P.S.
